25th Executive Committee Selection(updated - 31.8.2010)
Dear all,
The application for the 25th Executive Committee of Joint School Volunteers’ Association is now open. In order to select the best and most suitable candidates for the next term, this year we are going to do things differently. We will have two rounds of interview.
Firstly, every applicant will have to complete the same pre-interview task, no matter what post you are applying for. After reviewing the tasks, we will select candidates for an individual interview, held approximately during the first week of September. The final candidates will be invited to participate in a 2-day endurance camp along with the current EXCO members, so that we can find out more about the candidates and be able to choose the most competent and capable ones for next year’s JSVA.
This year’s task is: “You are a F.6 student and an EXCO member of JSVA. Since JSVA has always had a Bright Spark column in Young Post, write an essay to the Editor of Young Post on behalf of JSVA.” You are free to decide the content, but it should focus mainly on the aspiration of helping others so as to represent JSVA’s mission. The word limit is approximately 300 – 400 words.
Please do your best and submit your own work. What we are looking for is not just the content but also your effort and devotion!
The schedule for interview is as followed (subject to later changes):
Deadline of Application - 5/9
1st round of interview (individual interviews only) - To be confirmed
2nd round of interview (endurance camp) - 18-19/9
If you want to contribute to JSVA and gain more experience, don’t hesitate and apply now! All applications should be made before 5th September 2010. Late applications will NOT be entertained. Please also fill in your personal information and your desired posts accurately, along with a current student photo. Application forms without student photos will not be accepted.
