Regulations of recording service hours

Internal

  1. Service hours are counted within the 1 November to 31 October of each year. Although members will have a service booklet for recording, the JSVA will have an internal record.
  2. Members will receive a letter stating their total service hours contributed to the services organized by the JSVA in the last official year by November of the next official year.
  3. Certificates will be issued to members by the end of November if you have joint at least one service or special function.
  4. Awards will be presented to members who have accumulated the most service hours in the JSVA.
  5. Only the service hours of services offered by the JSVA will be counted in the record.
  6. The internal record of the JSVA is considered to be the most updated version if there are any discrepancies.

External - Social Service Department

  1. Members will receive their service booklets only if you have participated in the services organized by our association at least once.
  2. Service booklets will be distributed on the first time you join our service.
  3. Service booklets are issued by the Social Welfare Department through the JSVA.
  4. Members are requested to bring your service booklets for each service if you want to record your service hours.
  5. The service booklets can be used together with services organized by other organizations. However, only service hours completed for the services organized by the JSVA will be qualified when submitting service hours to the Social Welfare Department through the JSVA.
  6. Service hours completed from services offered by other organizations are to be submitted by them respectively, the JSVA does not have the right to submit for those organizations.
  7. During January of each year, for those who have participated over 50 hours of service organized by our association in the last official year will be nominated to receive a certificate issued by the Social Welfare Department.
  8. Certificates will be received by May.
  9. The JSVA reserves the right of making the final decision.

  2. The provision of personal data on our forms is voluntary. If you do not provide sufficient information, we may not be able to process your application.
  3. Your personal data held by us will be kept confidential and will not be used for other purposes apart from above.
